A beautiful model Sagun Shahi was taking dance training in Surkhet when she was selected to be featured in the movie ‘Dhuwani’ during the audition held there. The director Pitembar Pandey is credited for giving her a break in his movie ‘Dhuwani’ last year.

Sagun hadn’t expected she would get a leading role in a movie so fast. After the completion of the movie, Sagun expected to get roles in other movies and moved to Kathmandu. But, Sagun’s debut movie ‘Dhuwani’ flopped and she couldn’t get roles in other movies.

When she couldn’t get any opportunities in movies she it wasn’t easy to cover the cost of living in Kathmandu. It was tough to cover the cost of living in the costly city. She also started dancing in lok-dohori to cover the cost. The profession paid enough to pay the rent and other costs. Apart from dancing she is also featured in numerous music videos.

These days, Sagun is also featured in a television serial ‘Bhadragol’. She however is still waiting for another opportunity to be featured in a movie.

MaHa Australia Tour, MaHa Yatra 2014 to start on January 18

The MaHa duo, Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya and other artists are going to perform in various cities of Australia under a tour titled MaHa Yatra 2014.

The artists comprising of MaHa, Kiran KC, Basundhara Bhusal, Narendra Kansarkar, Shiva Hari Poudel, Kunti Moktan and Mohit Bamsha Acharya (Haribansha’s son) will also be in the MaHaYatra tour.

The artists are scheduled to reach Australia on January 16. The tour will start from the Australian city Perth on January 18 and will conclude in Sydney on February 2. The events will be conducted in the major cities like Perth, Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane, Alidade, and Sydney.

In MaHaYatra 2014, MaHa will perform well known comedy shows of the past and a new show. Other artists will also be featured in different comedy shows and musical programs.

Specific Responsibilities

• Act as point person for providing technical assistance to Nepal CRS Company for all activities  related to marketing of its products and services that includes existing or new products
• Assist Nepal CRS Company to identify capacity building TA needs in strategic service and product marketing areas to help it advance towards self-sustainability
• Identify and communicate with possible marketing consulting resources in-country or in the region and procure their services as appropriate
• Design and implement, with support from FHI360 (and non-FHI360) resource personnel, capacity-building programs in the areas of marketing
• Manage  consultants to ensure timely submission of deliverables of expected quality
• Identify data requirements for FHI 360 and CRS for making informed decisions
• Have overall responsibility for the management and development of GGMS’s reporting requirements and performance-based monitoring system
• Co-ordinate with concerned departments (e.g. DOH, DDA etc.) of Government of Nepal (GON) to facilitate working in specific activities as and when determined

Required Experience

• Master’s degree (MBA with marketing, or related field)

New Load Shedding Schedule - Effective from October 17, 2013 (Asoj 31, 2070)

Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has increased the load-shedding to 46.5 hours from 24.75 hours a week with effect from October 17, 2013 (Asoj 31, 2070).
